This 5 days gorilla and wildlife safaris takes you to experience two prime National Parks in Uganda. The safari allows you to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park which offers you wildlife encounter and then later connect to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for the an epic gorilla trekking adventure.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National park

After your early breakfast at the lodge, you meet and greet with the company representative who takes you through your 5 days Safari through Uganda. Later begin the 7 hours journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park found in the western part of the Uganda. Enjoy an enroute stopover at the Uganda Equator on your way to Queen Elizabeth national park. Grab a chance to stretch, buy more refreshments and crafts gifts plus also take memory photos at the Uganda Equator. Later continue with your journey to the park. Enjoy another en-route stopover at Igongo culture Centre in Mbarara for lunch.  And finally drive to the park. On reaching, checked in at your booked lodge, enjoy dinner plus overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and boat launch cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

On this day wake up early for a cup of coffee, later head out for an early morning drive safari with your driver guide as you explore the beauty of Queen Elizabeth National Park. On your game drive safari in the park grab an opportunity to spot a diversity of stunning wildlife species worthy to explore on a Uganda Safari. Namely; African caped buffaloes, the huge population of African elephants, lions, populations of antelopes, zebras herds, bushbucks, warthogs and many others plus many colorful birdlife species. After this amazing game drive experience, get back to lodge to enjoy your lunch.

In the afternoon, join a breath taking boat cruise on Kazinga channel situated with in the Mweya peninsular of the park. On the shores of Kazinga Channel, you encounter other impressive number of wildlife species like the huge numbers of hippos, elephants, crocodiles,buffaloes plus many colorful bird species as well various aquatic life. Later after the thrilling experience, you head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth national park to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park via the Ishasha sector.

After early breakfast, take a drive in the southwest part of Queen Elizabeth National Park to search for the famous tree climbing lions surviving in the Ishasha sector. On a luck day, you definitely get many of them hanging on fig trees or acacia trees after a successful hunt while taking a rest. After an amazing experience with the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, connect to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The drive to Bwindi Forest takes you about four hours and arrive in the evening. Upon arrival check in at Lodge for dinner plus a sleep overnight stay.

Trekkers Tervan or Buhoma Community rest Camp (budget), Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge or Gorilla mist Camp (midrange), Mahogany springs or Chameleon Lodge (Luxury).

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking experience in Bwindi Forest Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Wake up for breakfast and head out to the park headquarters for briefing before you begin the trek. After briefing, you are transferred to the starting point to start gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest. The gorilla trek can take you about 30 minute to 8 hours of the day and this depends on the location of the gorilla family. On locating the gorilla family, you are allowed to spend only one hour with gorilla family while taking photos and learning more about their behavioral patterns of life in the jungle. After the fascinating gorilla experience get back the park headquarter to pick your certificate of appreciation thanking you for participating in the gorilla life conservation. Later drive to your lodge for short nap, dinner plus a sleepover.

Day 5: Departure back to Kampala.

Wake up for a leisure breakfast, enjoy a late check-out and transfer back to Kampala. Delight in a stopover in Mbarara for an en-route lunch and later proceed to Kampala city. Upon arrival, you are driver takes you to your hotel of residence in Kampala or at Entebbe International airport to catch up with your scheduled flight back home to the next safari destination.
