Detailed Itinenary
Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
Enjoy an early breakfast, meet with the company driver guide and begin the 10 hours journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. You need to wake up early for your drive the park since it is far away from Kampala so you have to get ready for the long journey and hit the traffic Jam. Definitely you enjoy lunch enroute plus other exciting several stopovers that allow you to stretch, buy some refreshments and snacks that will have to keep you busy along journey and the eye-catching landscapes on the way. On Arrive in the park, check in at your booked lodge, enjoy dinner plus an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Game drive and Cultural experience
After early breakfast, join your driver guide and head out for a breathtaking game drive that takes you explore the park’s natural charming beauty including the majestic wildlife. The game drive gives you great sightings of the eye catching landscapes, stunning unique wildlife diversities which tends to be extra active at this hour time of the day. Expect to see interesting animals namely; the elephants, giraffes, zebras, leopards, buffaloes,occasional cheetahs and other many colorful bird species. Day 3: Hiking Morungole Mountain and Community visit to the IK People
On this day wake up for a cup of coffee and take a drive to the park headquarters for a small briefing about the hiking experience. Later transfer to the starting point and begin the hike to Mount Morungole. This mountain stands on an elevation of 2,750 meters above sea level. It is situated in the southern section of the park. Hiking Mount Morungole is quite strenuous but offers thrilling lifetime memories. Ascending and descending the mountain takes you about 8 hours depending on your level of physical fitness. On accessing the summit of the mountain, grab an opportunity to meet and greet with the IK tribe of people who are surviving as a small community here. Enjoy learning about their unique local daily activities like cattle keeping and also get entertained with the interesting traditional cultural dances and songs. Later, your driver guide drives you back to the park, dine and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure back to Kampala
On this last day of your tour, wake up early for breakfast, check out and drive to Kampala. Enjoy lunch enroute and arriving Kampala the late evening, your driver drops you at Entebbe Airport to catch up with your scheduled flight back home or at your hotel of residence in Kampala.
