Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
After your early morning breakfast, meet with the company driver for a transfer drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park situated in the south western region of Uganda. The park is a famous home to almost half of the remaining mountain gorilla’s population in the world. Although the journey seems to be long, it allows you great opportunity to enjoy the eye catching beauty of the Pearl of Africa landscapes in the rural countryside.
Enjoy you’re a stopover at Igongo cultural center or Agip Motel in Mbarara for lunch and later proceed with drive to Bwindi Forest Park. Upon arrival, check in at your booked lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking experience, Optional Batwa encounter and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Today wake early for breakfast, get ready with your packed lunch box, then head out to the park headquarters for a small briefing about gorilla trekking experience. While here, expect to be grouped into groups of 8 people and assigned different ranger guides as well as the gorilla family you are going to trek. At 8:00, transfer to starting point and begin the trekking exercise, the gorilla trek takes you through the thick creepers and undergrowth together with your Ranger guide as you search for the habituated gorilla family. Gorilla trekking can take about one hour to half a day hours depending on the location of the gorilla family.
Enjoy hiking in the dense steep forested landscape and delight in encountering with other animals that call the forest their home such as primates, birds and learn more about the rare tree species. On locating the gorilla family, you spend one hour with them as you photos and videos, watch the Juvenile young ones play, the mothers feeding the baby gorillas and learn more about their interesting lifestyle in the Jungle. After this dreamlife adventure, return to the park Headquarters for your certificate of participation thanking you for contributing to the efforts of conserving the endangered mountain Gorillas before you drive back to lodge.
If time allows you can head out for an optional Batwa community walk before you drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest and stunning lakes in Uganda dotted about 29 islands. On arrival there, check in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day3: Canoe/ Boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi and Depart for Kampala
Enjoy an early breakfast and head out for a thrilling boat or canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi as you explore the breath taking 29 islands. Expect to delight in an exceptional bird watching experience on the different Islands and interract with the local people as you learn more about their fascinating cultures. Return to the lodge and begin your departure back to Kampala with an enroute stopover for lunch at Igongo cultural center and at the Uganda equator. On arrive, your driver drops you to your hotel residence or at the Entebbe airport to catch up with next trip or scheduled flight back home.
